Sabudana Vada (Air Fried)

These are tapioca fritters that we usually eat during fasting. We also love eating them as a snack or any meal replacement.


  1. Soak the tapioca for 3 to 4 hours drain and rinse

  2. In bowl, combine tapioca, boiled potatoes, peanuts, chilies, ginger, salt, lemon juice and sugar

  3. Mix well to incorporate all ingredients thoroughly and set aside

  4. Make round balls or pattice style shaped vadas

  5. Place only six to seven vadas at a time in the air fryer

  6. Set your air fryer to 500°F and cook for 8 mins.

  7. Once done turn them over and cook for another 8mins.

  8. Remove the vada using a spoon.

  9. Serve and enjoy with yogurt or green chutney
